I love quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah). I use it all the time in my recipes. If you have never cooked with quinoa before do not be intimidated by it like I was. I use quinoa just like I would use rice, but it is not as heavy. It is also as easy as rice to make.

How To Cook Quinoa
1 cup uncooked quinoa
2 cups water or broth
Bring quinoa and liquid to a boil in a medium saucepan.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, 15 to 20 minutes.
Fluff with a fork.

Quinoa is grain free, has thousands of trace nutrients in it, is high is fiber and protein. There are many other benefits to eating quinoa as well.
